congrats to the newly wedded couple...

Last sunday was meet-up with dar's LOCC clique for Xiaoqiang's farewell as he's going fto England soon for exchange programme. Ate at Marche@ Vivo... hmmm not a fan of theirs cos they seem to sell very similar food overthe years, they were kinda the first to have those all-in-one concept but now with all the jap foodcourts and stuff so it's nth special now.

well anyway, great to see glynis after such a long time! she's flying with SIA now, woah~ another air stewardess. I think she has her very own attitude and looks kinda mix-blood so ya, she deserves to be picked. =)

Poor Yongqiang was sabo-ed by his dear friends to drink Vodka alone. his reactions were so funny we videoed it. hehe...

after tat was KTV at Chinatown. I was wow-ed by how weilun drove... haha he could just make sudden u-turns and stuff, such a hazard! hope one day i would be the one holding the wheel... cant imgaine me driving fren ard, but that's wad i hope!

Simple gathering but glad to be with all of them. Left a lil early cos the following monday gotta work...

And today is Mund and Jing's ROM!

Cabbed down to meet dar at his void deck, then we cabbed down to Grand Mecure Roxy Hotel.

We were one of the earliest so we went back down to the lobby to wait. The rest of dar's Sec sch clique were late...

The ceremony was a light-hearted one, as the solemniser cracks lil jokes to lighten the atmosphere. Guess anyone, like violet and Edmund would be as nervous.

my 3rd time attending ROM, but this time it's a lil different cos they has a loong marriage vow which they recited after the solemniser... could only rmb a few verses --when in sickness i'll nurse u back to health, ..... when u need encouragement, it will come from me...etc

found it so sweet and meaningful to have such promises to each other apart from only I DO. hmmm is tat a new thing to solemnisation, or is it optional? it'll be also sweet if they had written each other marriage vows unique to themselves. e.g. i'll promise to be the one to shell prawns for u frm then on. hahahaZ!

they are one happy couple i shd say...

anyway, been a while since last met Siewfang. Happy to see her =) haha we were the only 2 in the ballroom who kept taking pictures i think. too bad i forgot to bring my camera along. i'm so forgetful today... forgot to bring my wallet and the little card which was supposed to go with the gift for the couple!! btw, Jingsi liked the gift!~ haha and now, i can finally post to my blog too...

shall make one for Us next time!

home sweet home...

today is my dearie cousin's bday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR~

we had a stayoverlast night... me and sis boarded bus to meet her at Compasspoint, den went over to her hse at Fernvale.

it's my first visit to her hse! past few mths didnt have much time really. her hse looks nicer than the pics she posted on FB... It feels modern, the designs are simple yet cozy and pretty. hehe i wish i had my own hse too, seeing hers like tat. And i now understand y she loves her hse so much and reluctant to stayover at mine since then...

poor dearie was sick since ytd, vomit and diarrhea... so today we didnt go out as intended. No celebration cos she was so sick... we acc her to the clinic nearby. Nevertheless, i enjoyed the stayover, felt so warm living tgt. Been quite some time since we had stayover. =)

giving up..

ytd was a simple day... stayed home with dar and watched Sex and the City 2. not so nice.

hmm but one part of the movie and ur comment made me think a lil bout us... or how we'd be in future. The couple was married 2 yrs and the guy became a stay-home freak cum potato couch, in love with the tv and nth else interests him. hmmm but come to think of that, having a comfortable hse would be nice to laze... i guess maybe dar will be that way too. maybe not the sofa, but the bed? he's a big piggy. not too bad actually to laze TGT but not always doing seperate things, that would really be boring. And maybe, it's wad we have to come to terms with. maybe tat's part of "Settling Down"?

BUT i wont wan to be at home forever, like takeaways or home deliveries all the time (i mean since i dun cook, but maybe next time will). I think marriage life still needs to be maintained so that it wont be blend... like occasional dates for movies, go some new places tgt or if we could afford, a vacation to anywhere, annually--> if we have time to spare. It's just like me and dar, we're an "old couple", but still hope we do go somewhere interesting and do sth diff time to time...

ok anyway, we didnt cook in the end. hahaz both f us were lazy. So, we ate at Astons @ SSC for dinner... then back home where he watched soccer and i played PC game. hahah i actually bought a Donald Duck game! it's really cute seeing him running and jumping ard, and shaking his butt when he gets to another level. but i suck at the game...

Didnt sleep well last night...slept on and off. so damn tired today when i had to drag myself up for driving. and now it's my hated topic. my next test date is soon but again, i dun think i'm prepared, he's right - simple things yet i cant grasp the technique. y does it seem so effortless to some pple yet to hard to me? Am i really stupid or wad? I'm really slow, yet i really yearn to pass and get it over n done with.

ok btw, i've been working and STILL working on my HK album~ i'm proud to post some pages frm the album!

this week was basically work and no play...
had lunch few times with wet =) pity we cant meet everyday for lunch...
And ytd was madness. Relief at Chinatown Branch. Hectic, busy like hell... had my lunch 2 plus but was considered early. glad i was only there for a day, or i'd really die there.
hahazz... always tot chinatown area is super ulu, but durng lunch time walked ard, actually not so. and they sell interesting and pretty stuff... like giant seashells. bought dearie's bday present there.
after work, met dearie for dinner and shopping at Bugis. bought a dress and a lacy top. hehe~

today's work as usual but a relaxing sat for us... me and dar was so tired frm the late nights we had the whole week that we slept the afternoon away juz now. it's really rare tat i tke naps...
we intend to cook tml!~ sth diff frm wad we always do... hmmm no matter if it tastes nice or how simple it is... it's juz fun! i look fwd .. cos been a loong time since we do other things than shopping or movies.

good loong weekend...

weekend has been so far... so good. =) was my offday on friday. the whole afternoon, worked on my HK album. Yes, i'm still working on it. hahaaz.

Then went to Ion to collect my ring which i sent for resize and polishing last week. It's all shiny and good-as-new now!~ so glad the servicing worked wonders. I was so heart-broken to see the ring scratched and all. ok well anyway, after tat, met Nina for date... there was supposed to be 3 of us, but Yana couldnt make it last minute. We went for dinner @ pizza hut PS. They changed their menu! it's a nicer variety now and their curry bake rice is nice~ i had emerald sparkle too.. A green apple sparkling drink with apple bits.

Took polaroids there... lots of them. i juz love taking polaroids!

on the way to meet nina. a rare day i have mood to do self-shots..

today went for movie with dar at Cineleisure... Au Revoir Taipei. We tot it was a romantic show a the title and poster suggested... but it wasnt. haha a funny or rather weird plot. Not boring, but kinda crappy.

after tat was dinner at Kusihinbo Suntec... it was a long queue today! we waited for longer than usual. they changed their buffet items too. our fav prawn no more! and my fav scallop ginseng porridge too. -_-* and the food didnt taste as nice as before so a lil disappointing. and they raised their price too, now it really cost a bomb to dine there.. over a hundred bucks!

For the past week i've been looking at wedding gift to get ideas on what to give Jing&Mund for their ROM. Saw may really sweet gifts meant for wedding but wanted to discuss with dar before getting THE gift. but they are all very typical and i guess Jingsi must have prepared them for her big day - like photo album, wedding bears?

just now dar and I set our eyes on a shop which customises wedding gifts, and we decided to get one for them. I so love the customised gift! it's unique and exquisite. Shall make one for ourself too someday!!~
