the spoilt Monday morning

this entry... just to share the woes of working in the civil sector, as well as to vent my anger?

Bad morning i had today. Was feeling really tired as usual every start of the week.. Once i stepped inside office and logged into the system, there was a call for me. [hates it when there's calls for me early in the morning] The guy claimed I sent him a form which he did not state the purpose. He then continued to scold me for my poor customer service and attitude for rejecting his daughter's form. He carried on scolding and i just listened, Clueless. I tried to interrupt to find out more details of my letter to him or track the case, but i wasn't able to. I wasnt given chance to explain... After a while he paused, and asked me what to do. I began with a Sorry, just out of courtesy. He then bombed why it took me so looong to apologise and said i was making things diff for him. HELLO!? I DIDNT EVEN NOE WHAT I DID WRONG TO DESERVE UR SCOLDING OK. WHO'S BEING DIFFICULT??
He threatened to write to the press to lodge a complain... this and that, and demanded a written apology ltr. I consulted my manager for advise.. and luciky, she supported me. I do not have to apologise for sth I did not do wrong. My manager also thinks he's just crazy.
anyway the case is closed...
it's not the first time such unreasonable fellows demand things, insist their way. We do not have the time to make things diff for anyone. Contrary to belief, pple in the Govt sector are not so free ok... and we are also helpless cos we are governed by so many rules and policies to be adhered to strictly. And we are not CIVIL SERVANTS. not your servants whom you can scream at, and demand and threaten. one day if you are in our shoes, you will get your retribution.
Glad i sounded quite firm with him. But when i put down the phone, I cried. I'm already strong to handle such cases compared to the past.but being me, I still breakdown after tat. Maybe it's just my way of getting over things. everytime, i had hoped that i would receive words of comfort - maybe just a sentence like "dun be too sad ok, it's over" or better, just a virtual Hug or Muaacks.

Weilun's Bday house party

ytd was weilun and jeremy's bday celebration...

it was a potluck dinner at Lun's house. Before that, me and dar went Jurong point to shop for his gift... Dar suggested we customise a cake for them at the Icing house.

So we decorated the cake together for them =)

missing the old times...

ytd met up with Stitch darling.
We went Northpoint's Thai express for dinner. It was a nice loooooong dinner. haha from 7 plus till 9 plus. It was really nice catching up...
Talking about everything. The random chat led to our recollection of Sec sch memories...
Felt it was so sweet that my big part of memories is shared with her... we know little little things about each other's love life, how we behaved in class, etc... It's really amazing how long we have been best of friends. we almost spent every single day before and after sch tgt. She wasmy closest friend...I miss that 4 years of sec sch life. Like we say, we have no regrets cos we were once crazy, childish, love-smitten, etc. =) wonderful memories which would be with us till we grow old together.

我们都长大了.

Well it's been almost a month since i set my no fast food resolution...
And I'm proud to say a made it! (eh erm! except tat i still muched on tidbits and ate Mcdonald's on monday).
Hahah this time, I wanna set a SET of diet resolutions to be adhered to (hopefully).
here goes...

DIET RESOLUTION

Eat 80% full for every meal
Eat more Greens than meat
No fast food unless no better alternatives
No tidbits (chips, ice-cream, etc) on weekdays

fun fun day with Min

Ytd was fun fun day with Min... =)
met ard 12 at Bedok to Board bus to East Coast Park... When we reach there, I was famished so we searched for place to eat. The signboards weren't indicative, so we went wrong direction -- the other end of ECP where the restaurants are. So we turned around and walk back trying to find our way.... It was such a long walk to and fro tat we took nearly an hour! (no kidding)
Finally, we reached Mcdonalds [i confess!], it was drizzling... then it poured! -__-* the rain was weird, keep stopped then rained, rained then stop. We waited for an hour before it seemed ok....
hehe off we went to our cycling!! We rented the 'couple' bike... it's untrue that amateur riders shd ride couple bicycles. Cos it's actually harder to balance! struggled to balance ourselves each time we got on the bicycle and move off...hahaha Took turns to be the front rider...
Discovered some interesting spots at ECP. We loved the part of the beach where there's sandcastles and a man-made castle. So fairy-tale. As well as the Bedok Jetty right to the end of ECP... was really nice. cycled whole 2 hours...
After that went to Suntec to have dinner... Pepper lunch again~ i tried the pepper rice for the first time, not bad...did a lil shopping too, then headed back home. Fun fun day with bestie.

Ytd night dar and I started to make plans for our 6th anniversary cum dar's 23rd bday--> this day next month. hehe
I'm looking forward. It's gonna be our usual chalet at Downtown, but i like~

the loong sleepover

ytd the looong sleepover at cousin's ended. we both were really BU SHE DE when I left... but it was great. =) over nearly the past week, it was sweet going to work, dinner after work, chats before sleep and stuff like tat.

And how i not mention Friday... it was fun! my hair now sports a new color -- Marshmallow Brown.

Ok, it was suppose to be light shade of brown, but turned out to be quite dark brown.... Still, it was a success~ the dye is quite even. I like! hmmm for those who wanna try, pls choose lighter colours!

Today's a working PH again! no loong weekend for me. but well, at least it's the last time.

friday again! while many pple look fwd to this loong weekeend... I'm not. cos i have to work again on the public hols. i dunno since when I didnt get to enjoy my PH. -__-*
but hopefully this will be the last?
Anyway, today's my last day of sleepover at Dearie's house! I bet we'll have more fun today cos we've got whole lots of to-do things lined up! [shopping, manicure, facial masking, coloring our hair, etc] ^__^
hmmm over these few days, I suddenly realise that the gap of superiority does exist btw us. I tot she was different and we could have real friendship. But I could feel our distance now...
Things would be different if we're the same status. She's someone I'd really wanna be close to. [sadly]

stayover at dearie's house --day1

heeZ ytd stayover at dearie's house started... =)
we met for dinner at AMK hub, then shopped for groceries at Fairprice. haha~
we took the shopping cart and went ard the mart, but only bought a few items.
it was fun thou... hehe
fell asleep quite late, ard 1 plus ytd and didnt sleep soundly... maybe cos it's the first night. and tot of some things before sleeping.
this morning went out with cinder to work. it's nice having someone to go to work with. thou i'm not a morning person and dun like to talk in the morning esp on the way to work...
looking fwd to meet her after work for nice dinner tonight...

Sat : Went queensway with dar and cabbed down to eat Mellbon Crabbie. hehe
Sun: lazy one. Went 2nd aunt house for gathering...

btw... today is Brendan's bday... happy birthday =)

hmmm i give up on online shopping for Clothes!
received my ordered items ytd, and for the 3rd or more times, the clothes are either poor quality which u can buy with cheaper price outside, or they dun fit at all... like giant sized. -__-"
so i officially give up, not gonna order any again from any other websites also.
i dun like being disappointed whenever i open the anticiated parcel.
ok anyway, it doesnt apply to my OPI collection! very pleased with my orders everytime and no delivery charges cos i collect them. Thumbs up to Devils' Heaven~
i'm quite sick of all the food ard my workplace, that i wonder wad to eat for lunch this week...
hmmm ytd shawn told me bout his breakup with his gf/ex...
i think he's really different in views and attitude towards love. My colleagues was also saying lucky we're attached, or else we might fall for him and risk being hurt in the end... haha

hmmm remember my diet 'resolution' ? heeZ so far i've stuck to it closely and did not consuem any fast food... BUT i confess tat i''ve taken tidbits at dear's house last sunday. OoopS.
i still cant resist tidbits! but i'll cut down on them, really.
office has been really cold nowadays, even my cardigan cant keep me warm enough...
i'm looking forward to stayover with dearie cinder next week!
she promised to prepare ai xin breakfast for me... wee~

i had a hair-cut with dar at the salon near his house after work.

then ar ar said dar has sth for me and suddenly popped up with the polaroid camera! =)

i was so surprised... ! I LOVE SURPRISES. it has been quite some time since i was really surprised by him...

he made me so happy. hehee...

we took a while to figure it out... called Yana to ask too. hahaa

Gonna get the nice framed films soon! woohooo!~

but my ulcers were killing me. Bought a gel at Guardian and tried it at night. almost died of pain... It says to relieve ulcers. Pi la!!

ytd mum said she wished tart is her son than i'm her daughter...
i told her, why not i propose to tart today?..... and she said ok! hahaz...
funny her. i'm glad that she has no objections. but no way i'm gonna propose. =P
dear must be so smug about it when i told him ytd.

today was a fine start. Got compliments cos i dressed up today, for dinner-date with Yana and Katsy after work.
When he said, " i dreamt u got married but the groom wasnt me. It was a sucky feeling", i tot ya, how hurting it'll be to attend a wedding of someone whom u loved. Abit early, but if one day i'm getting married, I hope he'll attend at my buddy.

Someone's leaving our dept again to transfer to another one. I'm saddened by the news cos she's nice. Maybe it's cos of all the changes in job scope and misc stuff recently...
