Family Day @ RWS

haha seems like all my entries are now belated.... not lazy,but really busy!

last sunday was my bank's Family day at RWS -Universal Studios Spore. ^__^

i didnt join my colleagues cos i already dated my CaiPeng friend -Qing. nice to see her again...

We had a fun day at Universal... lots, i mean LOADS of photo-taking. Didnt take the exciting rides -only kiddy rides cos my dear fren dun dare to take most of them. hahaa~ but ok la i can understand tatkinda fear... it's just a pity cos there's 1 or 2 i really wanted to try.

today is the same day last mth -28th, the day i got engaged with Tart.

no celebrations cos there are just too many to celebrate, but i still feel special. =)

tiring tiring day...

hmmm this week has been super tiring. I really need a good break.
ok i noe, i've only slogged a while since i'm back from my trip...haha~
somehow got used to workingon Sat but doesnt mean i enjoy it... i'm ok with it cos time passes very fast esp cos Sat there are like "bus-es of customers" at any one time.
ytd was supposed to go for a facial trial with Lun and another colleage at the Body Shop, but lat min there was a super long meeting so I didnt go. I hope things get better cos our appraisals are at stake! and I really like my manager cos she handles things very well... and she's really very mild-tempered. I look up to her, cos despite the fact that she seems soft, but has the ability to handle things.

Tiring day cos i was just back from my driving lesson. It sucked. Parallel parking today... i felt so stupid cos i dun seem to grasp the technique. And I kept doing wrong turns, or lost dunno wad to do. Maybe i really lack talent i such technical stuff like driving. The way he teaches makes me feel worse. superde-moralising. -___-" sorry i just need to let it out.
hmmm my test date draws nearer, it's barely a mth away, yet my progress is such.
I hope i can buck up ad clear it once and for all.. thou i dun think i will... i hope it will at least be a good try.

hmmm had a relaxing weekend so far without driving lessons and work... next weekend is gonna quite hectic... but i'm still looking fwd to the family day next Sun at Universal sudios... i get to go in free!!

CONTINUED [HK TRIP] ....

haha i think i've been continuing like so loOoong...

ok this is the last entry bout my HK trip with dar. =)

2nd May

Day 4... we visited the breakfast cafe agai where they sell their famous BO LUO bun~ had a hard time finding it cos there are liek so may turns near the area and too many small streets. When we were just bou to give up, we chanced upon the cafe. Wee~ their bun is like super nice! friends noe i dun liek bread but theirs manage to tempt me. hehe... and their noodle dun look appetising cos it looked very tasteless and simple, but it;s yummy too~

After breakfast, we took the MTR to Tsim Sha Shui. Took a stroll at the Xing Guang Da Dao (Avenue of Stars) featuring many famous stars handprints... They more or less look the same, haha but we still took quite a bit of photos...

We did a lil shopping again at Harbour city before heading for the Ferry ride again at the Central Pier. After the short bus ride, we waited for the looOng queue for the Peak Tram, only to realise sometimes ltr that we could have purchase the tix in another counter with no queue as we wanted to visit the Mdm Tussaud's museum too....

The museum was great~ had fun there taking photos with all the well-known pple... it's i think the first time dar took so many photos? hehe...hmmm but wonder why dun have celebs i favour more like younger ones... SHE, Wilber Pan, Show luo, ... Westlife, or perhaps Korean stars? haha ~ me and dar waited almost an hour for the wax-making at the soveneir shop. I love our wax! it's really meaningful... the cashier there said it's really nice too, he said cos we're really in love so it turns out so nice.hehe he may just be sweet-lipped but it made me happy to hear that. PITY, when we brought back the Hand-wax frm HK to Spore, it cracked!! -__-*

Madam Tussauds' Museum..

We proceeded to the Peak all the way at the Top... It as really crowded with tourists... Was breezy there and the view was majestic... Nice feeling viewing the city from Bird's eye view... hehe still, we didnt stay long cos we were hungry and i think we're not the type that will settle dow at a scenic place just to relax and chill...

Me and dar were delighted to see the station temporarily set up at the Peak to promote disneyland ~ took polaroids with the giant Donald and Mickey figures there before we made our way back by the tram.

Took late dinner at Ding Tai Fung @ some shopping plaza. Dim sum again, but different variety. The food is not bad, but i preferred street food. hehe... An mini episode happened...I had to go to the loo urgently so me and dar searched for one at the plaza. I rushed in to the toilet and ling waited for me outside. It was a small walk to the ladies frm the outside.... after I was done, i walked out to find dear but he wasn't there. I thought he might have gone to the Gents too so i waited a while. I got anxious when he still didnt turn up after 10 min or so... I kept thinking he must have went to toilet on other floors or on his way back to find me. So i SMS-ed him and told him to meet me at the escalator. Dar then called to ask where I was cos he was at the spot where we last met. I got frantic... but dar asked me to stay put, he'll look for me. I was a lil scared like a lost child.. but I had faith he would find me. In the end, he found me... I felt so relieved!

If i was really lost, i wouldnt know how to find my way back cos i have no sense of directions.

And i saw the worried look on his face... how relieved he was when he found me....i felt touched and loved. I knew how much i mean to him =) he held my hands tightly and we went back... i felt such a bliss.

Back at the hotel, we packed our stuff and laid out all the stuff we bought. it occupied the whle bed! hehe most of our loot are soveneirs rather than clothing or usable stuff, but i love them!

3rd May

The final day of our trip... We woke up late cos we slept very late the previous night....

had a lazy morning of slacking cos we had to check out at 12. Did some final packing of stuff and ready to go... The last day felt so short, maybe cos i dun bear to end ou hols so soon...

We checked out of Metropark and safekept our luggage there. Did some final shopping along the streets at Mongkok again....We hunted for the manicure shop we saw the other day and found it! Did my gel-manicure while dar patiently waited for me. It's my first Gel-mancure with airbrush effects! love my nails.. hehe thou they said it'll last for at least a month, i doubt so cos of the nature of my work...

hmmm, after-thoughts on the trip...

I really enjoted myself throughout the trip. Some parts where things didnt go smoothly as planned, or some parts like Ocean Park which was a waste of time...but all are memorable as it's tatnchele's 1st offical overseas trip. It was liek honeymoon to me cos i could feel his love... The concern we have for each other, more explicit than we usually show... And i could devote the whole time to one another... without having to worry bout work, about curfews, about any other things. =)

1st May

HK day 3.... we hunted for Dim Sum near our hotel area, and settled on a Restaurant - Birdand Basket. Think it's one of the most modernly themed eating place we've seen in HK. The dim sum is yummy! pit we couldnt order much cos of our small appetite. And dim sum are always very filling....

after our breakfast, we headed to Admiralty to take bus to our destination of the day... OCEAN PARK. the first time i went HK with my family we also went there, but i didnt have much memory of it cos it was like 10 yrs back.
We had a bad feeling when were on the bus there, cos most of the visitors there come from Mainland! They had lots of comments abt almost everything. And when we reached the park, true enough, it was crowded with whole lots of them. i mean LOTS... and they are really pro in pushing and squeezing their way thru...

We caught the dolphin cum seals show but had to stand at the gallery cos it was too full. So only caught a glimpse of the show... Didnt manage to take any rides either thou they are ferris wheel, boat, hot-air balloon, etc. Cos we really dun have the mood to queue looooong for the rides. Went for sth like Spore's Underwaterworld,but we queued for almost 45 min b4 we could get it! Claps for the rest who had patience...ok and cable car too! it's really high in the sky lor! i was so scared, think i have a prob with heights. Notti dar videoed me, but i wont show it here! =P We didnt really like the place, so decided to go off after less than half a day there.

Just b4 we went off, dar and me tried the one of the games station and won 2 toys! -small green & small Red ~ welcome abroad!! Guess it was probably the most fun part of ocean park. haha... oh ya maybe the Ocean Express is another fun one,tat's all.

Night-time, we went to Cauewaybay [another shopping district] for shopping. Bought some HK specialties back home.. we went back to Mongkok again for our dinner. haha it's always a challenge to eat at HK... cos we always cant decide on what to eat! hehe maybe there are to many choices, but we're not sure which one is good. Ate at one of the noodles stall at the roadside. NiCe. hehe so far all the food we ate in HK were yummy, thou they may not be delicacies.

We had our dessert again for the supper! It's a shop near Ladies Market.. the dessert the y serve are very similar to one of Singapore's dessert shop "JI DE CHI". Tired day out but it didnt drain us... cos it's hols !~ hehe we dun seem to feel tired thou we turn in almost 1am or 2am ++ Just tat my feet hurt from all the walking despite my comfortable shoes.

tatnchele's HK trip..... -29Apr to 3rd May 2010-

well, a lil late but i really couldnt find time out to blog bout my HK trip the past week...hehe~

anyway shall start from the very first date.

29 Apr

We departed from Singapore early morning... dar's colleague drove us there using the car we rented. We then had breakfast at the airport before setting off. It's the first time we took a flight tgt! hehe it's nice to still have "firsts" after so long in a relationship. haha thou i've been on plane several timeS, i still feel nervous whenever the planes takes off or lands. so i hold on tightly to dar's hand like i did to Min when we went HK few yrs ago...

Anyway, it was a short flight.. As usual, i didnt catch sleep during the flight cos i'm always too excited to sleep, and before long, we reached HK airport liao...

Luckily, we have alrdy researched on how to go to the locations we want, so it was easier for us to find our way. We boarded the airport express and then MTR to our hotel - Metropark Mongkok Hotel. It was drizzling when we made our way there... then the rain got worse! btw, our hotel was better than expected..think the room is pretty nice, the hotel and staff too. and it had free internet access... no beautiful scenery thou.

our orignal plan was to go to the Peak on the first day so we headed to our destination. Took the ferry and switched to the bus - wanted to experience the open-top sight-seeing bus but we didnt manage to. The wait for the bus was looong and we were freezing cold cos of the strong wind. The temp was ard 19 degree Celcius!~ unfortunately, the bus was caught in a jam cos of some accident on the way there, so we were stuck too. [ it was like a one-lane path] what luck! in the end we had to postpone our trip to the Peak.

Instead, we went for some shopping at Harbour City and near our hotel area-Mongkok. Didnt realy buy anything on the first day... went for supper at the popular dessert shop in HK - XU LIU SHAN...our moods were a lil dampened cos of the unexpected weather... could only pray for the next day to be better.

30th Apr

my birthday!~ can believe i'm near mid-twenties le. omg~ haha... received quite a number of SMS while i was in HK.. thanks everyone! really appreciate that but sOrry i didnt reply to any.

woke up to a nice morning in HK~ it's the first time i'm overseas for my bday! how cool..hehe~

the weather was much better, in fact the most ideal out of the week we're there. It was cooling yet no rain, even when there's sunshine, it wasnt warm =)

so we proceeded with our itinerary of going Disneyland!~ via the Disneyland Resort Line. I so wanted to be on that train cos i saw other's facebook photos, the mickey themed train's so cute! i think i shd live in fairy tale land or sth... everythingwould so fascinate me. hahaa...

the 2nd time i'm there [previously with my poly clique] but there are some things that are fresh to me. it's still special cos this time it's with dar... We spent the whole day at the theme park. hehe... we caught Mickey's Magic show, Stitch encounter, the parade, played the Madhatter's cup, etc. And we took pics with our beloved Donald Duck! he's so cute!! we were so delighted to be able to see him "live". I think the character was very real, the way it behaves- mischievious. He pulled the shirt of our duckling and insisted we take off his clothes b4 the picture.

We took alot of photos in Disneyland and polaroids too! it's rare dar is willing to take pictures without being forced. haha... We really enjoyed ourselves thou pple always say HK disneyand isnt worth visiting bla bla blah... we beg to differ. Maybe cos we haven been to other theme parks but to me, it is really a place that can bring happiness & childhood in us. hmmm the fireworks werent as fantastic compared to the one we saw few yrs ago. It was shortened to bout 15 min and the effects werent that nice alrdy. Still i love firworks. hehe...

i rmb our cliques common wish that we wanna be proposed to under the disneyland fireworks. but till now, none of us fulfilled that. But maybe, it wont be that nice afterall. =P

dar rented car -Mazda again! this time it's red~ but there seemed to be sth wrong with the car, cos it made weird noise when travelling.

met bestie for dinner at 313 and then Marvelous Cream. YumZ! thou seem a bit like shit when they kinda mix everything tgt ...

28th Apr

the most significant day of all....

Evening time, dar drove us to Mt Faber's Jewel Box for my bday dinner... he had made prior booking there beforehand~ hehe btw i heard it's a nice place so I asked dar to bring me there.

indeed the place is beautiful, nice ambience. but minus pointS cos no air con then was a lil warm. but maybe they are setting the all-natural experience.

Dinner was good... we chatted during dinner which we seldom do cos normally we're quite quiet during meals, it's just Us. found dar a lil funny, just an intuition...

after dinner dar drove me to a part of Mt Faber - Faber point. we parked at a slope somewhere ard there. Then he told me to wait for him inside the car while he check sth...

Next moment, he handed me a pretty bouquet of roses- 12 of them in champagne white +pink nicely wrapped. I love the flowers. he said it's the first surprise for me. i was delighted, i love surprises. hehe~ so i was thinking what's next ....

We walked up to Faber point to view the scenery as darling suggested. There were a few couples there when we reached. It was a nice place. The floor there has nice 'arrowS' lit up. Dar suddenly said the 2nd surprise he has prepaed for me had to have me blindfolded.

So he blindfolded me and led me to sit somewhere. I was so scared thou he held on to me when i walked... haha so insecure without my sight....

He then asked me to remove my blindfold... Next moment, I saw him on hiS knees. He said a short speech about us which i shant share here but seriously i dun rmb a huge part of it [it was a really short one] and he popped he question...Will u marry me? I teared when i saw him on his knees and while he's saying his speech. It seemed like for a moment, the clock stopped ticking and i only saw him.
I was touched, but more of really surprised that i didnt noe how to respond. I wasnt thinking. my mind went really blank. So I only nodded thou he was waiting for my answer. He put the ring onto my finger,... then asked Jasper to come out. He had been hiding secretly behind the bush cos he helped dar to make the setting. When Jasper asked dar if ready to keep the sign on the floor, then i realised the thing that dar made for his proposal! super blur me! haha...

hmmn I appreciated dar's effort in planning the sweet proposal. Thou i had hoped for a bigger one, this simple one touched me cos i could feel his sincerity and sense his nervousness.

I got to know later bout the details which i found it really sweet of him to think bout that. The date 28/4 was chosen cos it's the 6th yr, 6th month and 6th day of tatnchele's love story. And my fav number is 6~and the size (carats) of the ring symbolises my birthdate. =)

So now, I'm no longer single! haha Engaged to my Mr Right.

It's kinda pity that dar's fren was there so we didnt get to have our private talk or view the scenery there. We went for supper with his other friends for gathering b4 our trip.Darling announced the Big NewS to the rest of them~felt so shy lor....hehe

after tat, ling sent me home for last min luggage that i need to bring to his house for our HK trip.But more imptly is to inform my parents that we're engaged... I'm really glad he took the effort and courage to tell my family abt it. not seeking approval but it's just right to tell them our plans.

I still cant feel any difference in the status change but it's just so very sweet to go for the HK trip tgt as fiance and fiancee.

^__^ haven updated more than a week i think! hehe not cos i'm lazy but cos i dunno where to start! there are so many things i wanna share... hmmm ok maybe i shall back-date and start from the b4 my bday then ~ oh ya btw i'm blogging frm my hotel in HK! [so cool blogging from overseas for the first time!!

bday meet-up with my sec besties lyn and sharon... we went to Astons for dinner. been quite some time since we 3 gals catchup with each other... they bought me a mini-cake~ and got me manicure voucherS! wee~ gonna pamper my nails some day!
we went to splashpark to take pics..haha so like lil kids. i miss my childhood...!

shall continue again maybe in SG. haha gotta pack my stuff le. last day in HK... miSSes.
